Metallurgical and steel-mill applications

EAF or AOD dusts, mill scales, dried sludges, steel grits, DRI, crushed spent refractories can be briquetted to be recycled in various furnaces.

Ferro-Manganese (FeMn), Ferro-Chrome (FeCr), Silico-Manganese (SiMn), Ferro-Silicum, …, are used under a briquette form to reuse their fine fraction.

Chrome, Cobalt, Nickel, Metal fines… are used under a briquette form to be easily dosed in further metallurgical process.

Coal or Coke briquettes are used as reducing agent for the steel manufacture.

Carbon fines can also be mixed to metallic oxide fines before the briquetting step.

Charcoal fines are briquetted for barbecue use or as a reducing agent.

Granules of fluxing salts are used for non-ferrous foundry (aluminum, magnesium…).
